Oddometer: 680. Location: Farber, MO. I've got a 2016 1190R that just rolled over 29k miles. I've been pretty hard on the ole girl and it's definitely time for some suspension work. I've heard/read in multiple places that the 2013-2016 1190R rear shock is a non-PDS style and just isn't really worth a crap. But at the same time, when the bike Dealer tells me from their KTM Conference, KTM knew of the airbox and heat issue and worked on them to sort it out.so they say oh and dealers still changing out or using the DNA filter, this from a KTM Techie. My test ride of the 1290SAR, there is still heat even in traffic but keep in mind, like the 1190, depends heavily on the kit you I have experience with 690 (X2), 1090, and 790 "builds" but make no claims of being an expert. I know a fair deal about the aforementioned KTM's based on countless mistakes and more than 50,000 miles in the saddle (on those bikes). I am happy to answer any questions along the way, or at least try to. I kept looking until I found a few videos on YouTube made by a guy in Europe who owns a 1290 Adventure R. He appears to be an experienced rider and has a small offroad track he uses to test his settings. The first video I found were his settings for off road. Yes, the tank is not venting but I would also change the pump.
